dream big
In 1998, Ann Bancroft asked Fred and Sarah Haberman to publicize her attempt to be the first woman to ski across Antarctica. They helped set the course and guided the story as it grew worldwide. Early organizational development work included hiring staff, developing the expedition’s mission and assisting with the business plan. A story of historic proportions emerged.
In the weeks leading up to the journey, during the expedition itself and afterwards, publicity generated by Haberman generated more 14 million hits and 2.1 billion worldwide media impressions (coverage included NBC, CBS, BBC, USA Today, Reuters, David Letterman and NPR’s “Morning Edition”).
Three million school children from 48 countries followed Ann Bancroft and Liv Arnesen as they crossed the continent.
